What you must bring to take a class

New Rider Class

While Georgia Motorcycle Riders provides a motorcycle for the New Rider Class, you must provide the following items to participate.  If you show up for class without these you will not be able to participate and there are no refunds or rescheduling allowed.  Our classes are typically sold out in advance and you will have to purchase another ticket for another class to have a seat in the class, regardless if you missed your class because you were late or didn’t bring the required equipment.

Required to participate

  • Full fingered gloves
  • Long sleeves shirt or jacket
  • Full length pants
  • Over the ankle, rubber soled, leather shoes.  (These must cover your ankle bone and cannot be canvas)
  • DOT approved helmet will be provided but we recommend you bring your own if you have one
    You must provide a head covering such as a bandana if you use our helmets

Experienced Rider Class

To participate in the Experience Rider Class you must provide the following items.   If you show up for class without these you will not be able to participate and there are no refunds or rescheduling allowed.  Our classes are typically sold out in advance and you will have to purchase another ticket for another class to have a seat in the class, regardless if you missed your class because you were late or didn’t bring the required equipment.

Required to participate

Street legal motorcycle
Proof of ownership of the motorcycle or a signed letter from the owner granting you written permission to use the motorcycle in the class.
Proof of current insurance on the motorcycle you are using
Full fingered gloves
Long sleeves shirt or jacket
Full length pants
Over the ankle, rubber soled, leather shoes.  (These must cover your ankle bone and cannot be canvas)
DOT approved helmet

Introduction to Motorcycling

To participate in the Introduction to Motorcycling experience you must provide the following items.
Full Fingered gloves
Long sleeve shirt or jacket
Full length pants
Over the ankle, rubber soled, leather shoes. (These must cover your ankle bone and cannot be canvas)
DOT rated motorcycle helmet ( we can provide a used loaner helmet if needed)



Shoe types OK to wear these types of shoes during riding

About This Site

GeorgiaMotorcycleRiders.com is a State of Georgia, Department of Driver Services, Motorcycle Safety Program authorized private training facility.  Successful completion of a course earns the graduate a MSF Completion Card and State of Georgia waiver card.  The waiver card grants a waiver from the Department of Driver Services’ motorcycle licensing written test and on-cycle riding test.
